Dear Friend, If you’d like to feel, look, and be fit, energized, and in the best shape of your life and if you’re frustrated and angry because you haven’t accomplished your goals…then put everything else aside, sit up straight, and listen hard because this will be the most important letter you’ll ever read. Here’s why. The Great American Myth says that you need to work out for hours a day to get fit, stay young, and have ridiculuosly, long lasting energy, right? Because the Good News is, THERE’S A BETTER WAY, and I can show you my secret. How did I find this secret? Listen closely to my story. On November 25, 2005, I was laying in my hospital bed feeling weak and helpless feeling like I was about to die. At 48 years of age I was waking from complete reconstructive hip surgery. People had told me that this never happens to someone so young, but it was happening, and it was happening to me. What sort of life style would I be able to live? Could I be Active? Could I be Healthy? Would I experience pain with every movement? No one could tell me the answers. Sure they could give me some idea, but they were not in my body so how could they know how my body felt. There I was, a Martial Arts Champion, who had spent my entire life being fit, competitive, and active laying flat on my back wondering if I would ever again be able to move pain free. I shifted my body and a blast of piercing pain shot from head to toe. The ten inch steel post and artificial joint that were now mine to carry for life were in no way ready for any type of movement. How long would I have to fear the slightest movement to avoid screaming out in pain. How long would it be before I could begin to be healthy again and stop watching my body lay still and waste away? The day after the surgery I was awakened by a disgustingly cheerful young woman who joyfully announced that I was to get out of bed to go for a walk down the hospital hallway. I thought, you must be out of your mind. I complained, I growled, but in the end she got me up anyway. Gripping my walker like it was the last thing I owned, I shuffled slowly, painfully down the hallway like some old, crippled man, every step an excruciating batttle to stay upright. It became immediately obvious to me that this would be a long, pain in the hip (pain in the ass) process. After 4 days of laying in bed and dragging myself up and down those blasted hospital halls I was told that I could go home. On the day of my departure from the hospital I propped myself up with a cane and out the door I went. Don't get me wrong, I was happy to leave the hospital, but I knew that there was going to be more pain, lots of it, slow progress, and an urgency for me to do my best to keep my energy and spirits up in order that I could regain my health. After walking with my cane for a few days my leg swelled up to three times its normal size. I was told to wear a special stocking to control and decrease the swelling - you know, the kind that old ladies wear. Not only that, the doctor also told me that there was also the threat of blood clots forming in the surgically repaired area. Not the news I was looking for. My mind and body felt like they were falling apart under the continuous assault of more "what could go wrongs." No such luck.Over the next few months I gained weight, lost energy, and lost hope. This recovery process was a much bigger challenge than I had dreamed it would be and always the same questions Can I live any type of an active lifestyle? Will I be able to exercise with any kind of strength, explosiveness, and passion in the fashion I was accustomed to? They showed up in the form of a good friend who was a Major in the Special Forces. The Major knew of my condition and suggested that I take a look at a secret, never before revealed workout that he had created for his Special Forces group almost 30 years earlier. He guaranteed me that it would give me the results that I was looking for. At first I thought, Special Forces Workout. How is this going to work? Hell, I’m having trouble walking. The Major persisted. He wasn’t taking any of this whiny, feel sorry for myself, will I ever be able to live a normal life crap. With him being on my butt constantly I eventually agreed to give it a try. I was desperate. I knew I had to do something...why not this? Finally, I got started. During and immediately after my first day of the Major’s exercise program I knew that I had found something special. The results were quick. My body responded RIGHT NOW! I felt a strength and vitality pulsing through my body again that I had been yearning for and feared that I would never experience again. This was just what the doctor ordered. After my first day of the Major’s exercise program I knew I had found something SPECIAL. Upon starting my new workout I was happy to discover that
Over the next days, weeks, and months my strength grew and my energy levels hit the exhilarating highs that I was hoping for. Most importantly, my hope and belief that I COULD BE healthy again returned. I was once again feeling that I was returning to the top of my game physically, mentally, and emotionally. It felt great! how fast I was recovering from hip surgery Friends were telling me that they couldn’t believe how fast I had recovered from the hip surgery. Whenever I visited the doctor at the hospital he kept saying "your recovery is unbelievable." He went so far as to ask what I was doing to accomplish this remarkable recovery to fitness and health. I showed him what I was doing and he told me that he couldn’t believe that I was able to exercise with such energy and intensity so close to the surgery. He still couldn’t believe the speed of my recovery. There’s something to be said for will and determination. Then I started thinking... If this workout could do wonders for a middle-aged guy with a busted up hip, think what it could for everyone else who wanted to get into the best shape of their lives... That's why I started teaching the Major’s workout system to students in my Karate schools and to my son’s high school basketball team. Soon afterwards I started a class to teach local adults the benefits of my new, exciting discovery The results were the same across the board. From people who had not worked out in years to athletic high school and college athletes, everyone raved about the quick, almost superhuman results that they were getting. Their results were SPECTACULAR
